I adore Richard Clarke. I loved it when he said he had tried to talk to Condoleezza Rice about 80,000 times about al Qaeda.

What other options does she have other than trying to split the party.

She wants to cobble together a coaltion of misguided democrats and right wingers, and a unified democratic party is counterproductive towards achieving that goal.

Her strategy is to divide us, and then cobble together a majority coalition that is very much unrepresentative of the party she claims membership to..

Thankfully though most Democrats will vote for the Democrat.

All we need to do is keep the party retention rate steady and not let a few misguided democrats corrupt the entire party. Head em off at the right wing!!!!

Forward!

Hold the fort down and deal with Hillary Clinton. Obama will take care of the Republicans.

I could easily say that I can fly too. Sure you won't find any actually evidence of it but I could still say it.

The Economist agrees....

The Democrats

Obama and Clinton battle on
Apr 17th 2008 | NEW YORK
From Economist.com
Excerpt.......

For all the offbeat questions and answers, one word stood out. Mrs Clinton, in the course of one answer, said “that’s why I’m still in the race.” That “still” pointed up, perhaps unintentionally, that Mrs Clinton remains well behind Mr Obama. She has no hope of making up her deficit among elected delegates to the nominating convention in the last few primaries. She must instead convince a number of unelected party officials (“superdelegates”) to throw the balance of the election in her favour. This means she must make, or abet Republican attacks in making, Mr Obama seem unelectable. The bizarre, cultural questions on Wednesday night, which kept him on the defensive more often than her, may have helped to this end. Only Pennsylvania voters can say for certain.

I was surprised that EVERY comment from readers that I read there was is support of Obama....

Quote:
As with any national-level politician, there are people who support both Senator Obama and Senator Clinton dogmatically. However, it appears there are a large number of people who are dogmatically opposed to Senator Clinton, while the same does not appear to be true of Senator Obama. Many Americans I have talked to find Senator Clinton, herself, repugnant -not her policies or politics.

It may be that if she wins the nomination, many of the anti-Hillary Democrats will vote for Senator McCain in the general election.

Could we have another 100 years in Iraq because of a personality qualm?
Quote:
Certainly in a time of economic confusion caused by Free Trade supporters and Wall Street alchemists, it certainly is a compliment for Mr. Obama to receive the support of one of the most revered Chairman of the Federal Reserve during the Carter and Reagan years, Mr. Paul Volker. Once again, the list of accomplished honorable Americans who currently support Mr Obama's presidency gets longer by the day.

It's the idea of using a firearm to inflict pain and damage the kneecap or the knee joint. Don't ask how I know either.....
