Edwards has my vote, I think he's addressing what
needs to be addressed and handles the media well.

Poverty needs to be addressed.

It certainly does. And it needs to be addressed more intelligently than to pledge blind faith in free enterprise and the kindness of strangers vis a vis charity.

That won't work. And if you don't believe me, you can ask Blanche Du Bois!

``Why have we not addressed the issue of climate change and global warming?'' Edwards said.

``I'll tell you why, no question about it: oil companies, gas companies, power companies and the lobbyists in Washington, D.C. We have to have a president who will stand up to these people.''

Last month Edwards picked up an endorsement from the national environmental group Friends of the Earth Action.

He has become a frequent visitor to New Orleans. On Saturday, he spent time at a Habitat for Humanity site where homes are being built for displaced musicians.

He kicked off his presidential campaign last December in New Orleans and he's made the botched recovery from Hurricane Katrina and the social ills the storm exposed themes in his campaign.

Edwards said his campaign has ``developed momentum'' since Tuesday's televised debate, which he called a pivotal moment in his campaign. He said voters now have clear choices.

``From my perspective, the choices are between the status quo and change,'' he said. ``And we need change in the worst kind of way in America.''

Golly, that's what I think of regarding the R candidtates.

Fine, if you don't want more affordable health care that's your issue.

None of the other candidates are even close to being populists.

I have private health care that hasn't failed me yet, but im not opposed to universal healthcare either. Id vote for Edwards over Hilary, but from day one I got this vibe that Edwards is a phony. Trial lawyer turned populist. I guess thats better than a warmonger.

Some people become lawyers for the money, some because they want to use their skills to do right by people. I never met Edwards but he comes across to me as the latter of the two.

His practice was always about the little guy fighting the big corporate interests. If you consider what he has done with his life, he has always been populist.

My problem with Edwards is not that he attacked Hillary in the last debate, but that he had misrepresented what she had said in order to attack it.

He said her position was that she would not consider raising the theshold amount on which social security taxes are taken out. That was simply not true. She had said she'd not consider that or any other social secuirty measure until fiscal discipline had been restored to the federal budget.

He has said his health plan is better than hers on several fronts, and he has said her plan is the same as his. One of those has to be a false statement.
