Well, Hillary and her drones can't whine that this issue isn't being thoroughly covered.

Wright Rocks!

I love the bullshit questions the most because he handles them the best! I love it.

This is what they should have done from the start. Instead of letting the media run wild with their latest scandalous treat, stick Wright out there and let people see he's not a black David Duke. He is a good and wise man.

I'm so glad Obama stood his ground and didn't throw this man under the bus. Just another example of how Obama doesn't play to the crowd for votes, that's integrity, that's rare.

Some of his answers were right on the money. Some not so much. Does he really think America should apologize to Japan, and if so for what? The A-bomb was a necessary evil. If he means to recognize the injustice to Japanese Americans who were interred at those camps during WW2 then I think he would have a better argument. He didn't state it clearly enough.

actually the A bombs WERE'NT necessary. and in a lot of ways, it's use had nothing to do with japan. the japanese were already on their knees and on the verge of surrender thanks to our firebombing of their cities. and it was used not to stop the war, but to demonstrate the weapon. one publicized test in an unpopulated area would have been sufficient to deter any nation from messing with us. we didn't have to kill millions of people.

the fire bombing of japan was also morally reprehensible.
if it was wrong for the germans to bomb european cities, why was it not just as wrong to completely destroy japan's?
if we had NOT won that war, we most certainly would have been prosecuted for war crimes against humanity.

i can just HEAR the anti-american responses i'll get from saying these things. but the truth is, we rounded up japanese americans and held them in prison camps for no reason. we mass murdered innocent millions and millions of innocent CITIZENS against the geneva convention.

I was kind of surprised at the comments by the person from the Obama campaign on MSNBC right after the speech. She didn't seem to care for the whole Wright spotlight. I thought they'd love it because it would show that Wright isn't the maniac he's been portrayed to be for weeks now, but then she explained.

Wright on TV last night and this morning is still more distraction. Even though I can't see how it can do anything but help Obama to put down the Wright myth, it is still a distraction from the real issues. She's right, I fell for it too.

The MSNBC puppet looked like she was going to cry when she couldn't get the Obama spokeswoman to agree that Wright's comments are still an issue. Toward the end her voice actually got shrill. She saw the juiciest piece of BS journalism about Obama to come along going down the drain before her eyes and was clawing to save it.

Who really believes this will put the issue to rest? Mr. Obama attempted to do so by speaking to the American people like adults; it is as if he had never opened his mouth. Reverend Wright's appearances will decorate the news cycle briefly, but the simplistic, out of context images of a Black preacher thundering "God damn America" is too juicy for the ravenous tabloid venture the MSM has become to resist.
We are in 1988 all over again. Even then there were those who spoke out for substance and seriousness in the coverage campaign, but the Pledge of Allegiance, flag factories and Dukakis-in-a-tank and Willie Horton won the day.
Now we have flag pins, fiery preachers (at least the Black ones...the white ones can look forward to the Apocalypse and attempt to build their own cults while trashing others of the same faith with impunity and receive only a passing reference even though the Republican nominee enthusiastically pulls them to his bosom just as Mr. Bush once pulled the Republican nominee to his own) and bowling scores.

I thought about pointing that out too, but didn't feel like getting into that whole argument. Examining the facts of the situation it's clear that the bombs didn't need to be dropped. I've also heard it explained as payback for Pearl Harbor. But that's a whole other issue.
