what i heard in indiana...

as some of you know, my family is from the northern indiana area...this past saturday i went for a visit and to play trivia at my aunt's church...my cousins, her daughters, were also at this gathering and are very active in the democratic party...one of them brought as her guest the head of the democratic chapter in niles, michigan...as she introduced me to him, he asked who i was supporting so i told him obama...i waited with trepidation for either the backlash from a hillary supporter or the handshake...what i got instead was a story about how he had remained uncommitted until about two weeks ago when hillary clinton's campaign cancelled the contract she had with the union workers in indiana to do her events and brought in outside people...this gentleman holds high rank in the union as well and he said that was the moment he declared his support for obama and has been calling every single indiana union from the northern part of the state to the southern tip spreading the word about how hillary clinton abandoned the indiana unions in favour of outside contractors...those members have in turn been making phone calls of their own...

now i don't know what kind of impact, if any, this will have on may 6th, but it has the potential to seriously cripple the number of votes hillary receives that day given what a unionised state indiana actually is...

anyhow, just some news from the heartland

I hope it has a huge impact. A win in Indiana and NC should effectively shut her down in most of the other primaries except KKKentucky.

they sure aren't doing much polling in indiana, the only one in a while came out today showing clinton with a 9 pt. lead.

hopefully, obama's going to do better than that there.

he's got a 12 pt lead in NC today.

Union support can be crucial to get out the vote operations.

Indeed, union support is crucial, which is why you'll never hear any candidate speak frankly when discussing one of the reasons our jobs are going overseas.

My guess is that a cash strapped Clinton campaign saved countless thousands of dollars, by hiring outside contractors.
