Eric, you didn't really want this thread to be about Wright and his appearances hurting Obama did you?
Its like there's a constant noise around these boards, an annoying buzz that keeps any real conversation from taking place. Issue Forums Election Center 2008 (35 Viewing) For the 2008 Primary and General Elections only Off Beat Arts & Entertainment (2 Viewing) Movies, books, TV, anything entertainment related I guess an attention whore wouldn't be happy visiting a forum with only two viewers. |

so what should Obama do? Politically speaking?
stay above the frey, and just let this thing pass with time? Or agressively dump Wright? Or embrace him further. Curious as to what Obama supporters think should be the response?

Obama is distancing himself. Wright will be yesterday's news by July. An echo. Actually it might be good that Wright gives Obama some edge and street cred.
He will remind whites that Obama is the preferable negro style to them. Just as Huey Newton and Malcolm X made MLK, Jr a preferable figure. Just as Eman is preferable to AK47. |
