obama pissed! throwing wright directly under bus!
in a press conference right now, he's really attacking rev. wright's statements about "doing what politicians do".
he says this rev. wright isn't the rev wright he thought he knew, and that rev. wright obviously doesn't know him if he thinks obama doesn't really MEAN his previous statements condemning "god damn america" etc. i saw axelrod on hardball last night and he was really pissed, so i guess it's not a surprise that obama's doing this. i sense that obama feels extremely betrayed. he keeps referring to wright's speeches as "performances", and says this is NO time for distractions from the important issues of the nation. says his feeling for wright have changed a great deal, and that wright has shown no concern for obama, or the nation. wow!

But that's fine. Good to see a little fire in the belly. PS. anybody still wanna dump on me for not listening into Wright's speeches, and saying I don't need to hear more from this guy?? I didn't wanna listen to any more of his " performances" either.

Wright was right - Obama was doing what ALL politicians do. This new, bold statement of Barack's going after Wright may prove sticky for him. |

if you had bothered to listen to wright, and still felt the same way, i would respect your view. but i don't respect ANYBODY for criticizing something they don't research, and i never will. so don't get so cocky! i still have the same opinion of you. regarding wright? i still love him and think he's been unfairly demonized by the press and folks like you who refuse to even listen to him. and i still feel as though he has a right to stick up for himself. but i do understand that morons will use him against obama. and i understand obama's sense of betrayal considering how many morons there are in this country.

Its good that Obama is making a clarification..No doubt Wright will offer a rebuttal now, and further beat this issue to death..The truth of the matter is that what Rev Wright says, or what he has said in the past should have never become a reflection of Obamas views, or a reflection of his character to begin with..This has gotten so blown out of proportion now that its ridiculous..I mean..Is this the best they've got to offer to discredit Obama?..Talk about desperation!

I defended Wrights point of view...
however, there was no feasible way for Obama to overcome this (in the general) without the clarification he gave today. was it fair to Obama or Wright to have this become an issue of magnitude? no. but hey....better to get swat it now, then in a general

Typical divide and conquer. Get a black fighting with a black to sabotage achievement by a black man. History is full of examples like this. Seem Hillary arrange the National Press Club meeting and the media provided the 24-hour a day instigation.
Same thing happened to the Black Panther Party and MLK, Jr. |

Politics is such a dirty business. I am just thankful that I found this out long ago for when I was a young man I thought I wanted to be a politician.
This saga between Obama and his minister is just the latest nail in the coffin for me. I feel dirty just discussing this situation between two former confidants. |
