Some elections are bigger than politics as usual. Hillary and her supporters do not seem to understand this premise, and instead act for their own small, personal reasons.

The fact is, if you are not white, this country has not been kind to you. Vietnamese, Koreans, Japanese, Africans, Natives, Mexicans, and the latest victims, Arabs, have all suffered at the hands of the United States. Maybe women in this country haven't always had equal rights, but they were mostly treated with chivalry.

In this election, we have the chance to change our ways - to stop treating non-whites with the unfair, unequal indignity, unbecoming of any true American, non-whites have thus-far been treated with.

That would all be really great....if we didn't also know your opinion on gay rights.

Now the Hispanic vote 14% of the population out growing both white and blacks. They are the most sought after demographic, growing at 9% a year! Hispanics have already over taken blacks in income earning power. There vote will be critical and will be hotly contested.

It will be intresting in about 10 years to see who they are pandering too wont it?
Unfortunately---as most already know----there is only one demographic that for 30-40 years has given the democratic party 85-90% of it votes --CONSISTENTLY.

The hispanic vote has split on MULTIPLE occassions. They are by NO MEANS reliable democratic voters. In 2004 I believe they split 60-40 for the dems.
An analysis of the 2004 exit poll data in conjunction with this new CPS data suggests that Bush’s share of the Hispanic vote last year was probably closer to 40 percent than to the 44 percent
widely reported last year by news organizations that had relied on national exit poll data.
Hispanics and the 2004 Election Page 4 (or ii)

Additionally---in case you didn't know that it is significant--in 2004 67% of white, non-hispanics eligible to vote --voted. 60% of blacks eligible to vote -- voted only 47% of Hispanics voted.

The most rapid growth of registered voters is occuring in the African American community and has been over the last 8 years. I think that this is likely to be continued with Obama as a candidate.

Voting and Registration in 2004 page 6

If the hispanic voters continued to increase at the rate they are now and the black voter rate continues to increase at 1/2 the rate it is now it would take almost 20 years for the Hispanic vote to catch up to the black vote. THEN recall that the Dems may or may not get that vote.

But if it make you feel better to tell yourself that someone is inflating the numbers---have at it.

Dems are doing better and better with Hispanics, and Hillary clearly does better than Obama with them

Florida can easily go Dem - it did by the popular vote in 2000, but all the votes weren't re-counted because of SCOTUS.

Hillary's base is older voters, and Hispanics- Fla is made for her.

Bill Clinton only got 62 % of the Hispanic vote in 1996. Your basis for implying that Hillary would do better is what? And recall that in 2000 the margin of difference in Florida ---IN PARTICULAR---the margin represented a small percentage of the black vote.

There is a reason why the repukes targeted the black vote for suppression in Florida----DUH!!

didn't say Hillary would do any better.
there is no real love for Mccain here either.

The state has had large amounts of new voters that register Dem. like everywhere i the country.

I'm just going on general demographics, and te poll looks like that too.
my argument is Hillary has a better, and real chance of winning Fla. than Obama has a chance

I have not seen the florida statistics but in many states the increase in black registration is out striping all other ethnic groups ----that goes against Hillary BIGTIME!

Hillary's negativity in Florida among all voters was higher than in most states before her upward negativity surge.

If you have general population polls for florida I would love to see them---do you have a link?

I have no way of knowing which group is registering.
I don't think there are stats on it.

Geez----you are lazy!

Do you ever TRY to tell the truth?

A simple answer would have been "NO"

I happen to have been reviewing these today and their state hasn't had it's primary yet! So YES they are available.

You believe a democrat candidate can win the White House without those states? Please draw up a hypothetical and plausible electoral college map of a Democrat winning the national election without Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
