Just wondering how much her supporters agree with the latest right wing policies that she's been throwing out. Republicans are now coming out for her openly and favor her attacks on Obama and Wright, favor her agreement with McCain on the gas tax, favor her 527 style ads. Believe it or not, these are not things that most real Democrats believe in.

My question is are you considering switching sides or has being a liberal taken a back seat to supporting Clinton?

When did Hillary attack Obama on Wright?
she made 1 comment " he wouldn't be my Pastor", which was asked of her.
Republicans are closer to her positons, because she is closer to the center than Obama on foreign policy.
( agressive strike back on Iran if necessary, not meeting with hostile heads of states "without preconditions " ) .

I haven't seen her ads, so I can't comment.

The gas tax holiday is to give relief to the hard hit middle class, whom are paying $4 /gallon for gas and milk.
It's not a good policy for energy, but the hurt felt by families trumps that consideration.

You fail to mention her desire for a windfalls profit tax.
Exxon ( think it was them) announced a 21% increase in quarter profits today.


As far as being a liberal, I am not one - I am a moderate, or conservative Dem.
But I am a Dem. and will vote as such in the General, even if Obama is the nominee.
The Democratic base of support for Obama is more liberal than the moderate/cons. Dem base for Clinton,
so it may appear to you her supporters are Republicans.

Twice now, at least, the actual 'savings' have been tallied. By taking out the 18 cent tax (give or take) you would only save about thirty dollars over the summer on fuel.

How is that going to help anyone?

So...saving $30 ie $10 a month, is reason enough to side with 'Oops I Crapped My Pants' McCain and 'Can't Beat'em, Join'em' Clinton?

There are better, wiser ways to cut gas costs, but it seems as though the two teamsters care not. 8 years of nothing done to help and you apparently want at least 4 more. How is $30 going to help anyone?

Of course it's not enough of a reason to support anyone, by itself.
There are other ways, like conservation, build more refineries, windfall profits tax, but they take time.
They should be done, but they can' provide immediate relief.

I guess you have been out of touch but she's made several comments, relentlessly. If you aren't going to watch TV I suggest you at least pick up a paper or hit some of the MSM sites.

She is beyond "moderate" over the last couple of months. Supporting her tactics as many have is a sacrifice of democratic principals which is exactly why Joe Andrew changed sides. I agree with Chuck Todd that after the vote next week, even if it's a split, we are going to see many more of them coming forward for Obama as well to finally put an end to this thing.

I'm not talking 'build more refineries' type of ways, man. Those ideas still suck up the oil. Not talking about ethanol, either. We need something to get us off the oil. Cutting an 18.4 cent tax is not going to do it. If anything, as the CNN article says, it could raise the cost at the pump. Oil tycoons hate having their money taken from them, you know.

$30 is a gift from a relative. Gov should go bigger. Ask for a 50+ inch flat screen.

NEW YORK — Mayor Michael Bloomberg called a summer-long suspension of the gas tax favored by Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton and Republican John McCain a dumb idea.

The New York mayor, who flirted with the idea of an independent presidential bid, praised Democrat Barack Obama for opposing the plan to suspend the 18.4 cent federal gas tax and 24.2 cent diesel tax during the peak driving months of the summer.

All three candidates covet Bloomberg's endorsement. The mayor has spoken highly of Obama and McCain in introducing the two at recent events in New York.

Speaking to reporters at City Hall, Bloomberg said of the gas tax holiday,"It's about the dumbest thing I've heard in an awful long time, from an economic point of view. We're trying to discourage people from driving and we're trying to end our energy dependence ... and we're trying to have more money to build infrastructure."
He cited those three reasons for opposing the gas tax holiday favored by McCain and Clinton. Obama has said the savings would not be significant for the average individual, and Bloomberg agreed.

"The 30 bucks is not going to change anybody's lifestyle," he said. "The billions of dollars that we would otherwise have in tax revenues can make a big difference as to what kind of a world we leave our children."

The billionaire mayor said in February that he had decided not to run for president but has dangled the possibility of his endorsement. The Democrat-turned-Republican-turned-independent has ties to all three candidates.

But Hillary supporters are more interested in a $30 over 4 months
gas savings than her promise to obliterate Iran. The citizenry is no
