for sale: california superdelegate

on the front page of yahoo right now, the current video is of california superdelegate steven ybarra who's willing to sell his vote to either clinton or obama for $20 million

i can't watch the video, because i'm still at work, but the caption below it says: "how he'll spend the money"....

is he kidding? first of all, clinton can't afford it and given the switch of her supers to obama and the others who are now declaring their support for him, obama won't need it...so is he just not gonna vote at the convention? and surely this can't be legal...

article from cbs:

Steven Ybarra Wants $20 Million For His Vote
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (CBS13) ― In this tight battle for the Democratic nomination we've heard a lot about the candidates courting superdelegates.

But, one superdelegate is courting the candidates. He says he'll sell his vote for a price. A very high price: $20 million.

Steven Ybarra of Sacramento says that eight-figure price is peanuts for the presidency.

WATCH THIS!!!

wow!
yes, he's serious,
and more importantly, he's right.
this is funding.
not a bribe.

and i say, go for it!
this guy is smart!!!!!!!

it's NOT payola...

it's the cost of mounting an effective latino voter education registration program.

dems keep refusing to fund these people.

i get it.
it makes total sense.
it's not a bribe,
it's an investment in latino

he is a latino,
he can bring the latino vote.
he's just asking for the costs to do it.

he says anybody who's smart enough to go for latinos would do this.
and it can't be done for less.

If this is for real, the DNC ought to yank this fool's credential.

Yes it is for real and it is not for him personaly. It is for funding Hispanic programs. The Superdelegate should still have his crdentials yanked. It's playing the system for money and it's still a vote for the highest bid.

The story was covered days ago on channel 3. I was going to post it but didn't think anyone would care.

He may be putting his neck on the line. There may be certain laws being broken and he may be in real trouble.

Here's one way to look at it. Superdelegates are supposed to vote for who they believe will win the general election. He believes the candidate who will support Mexican-American voter education is a candidate who will win the general.

No he is saying put money where I want it and I will vote for you. Pay first to receive the vote....it's against the law. Either candidate to do so will be an accomplice.
