gosh, that's so cool. just to think something i've done inspires someone is a gift in itself! i try to do one big project a summer. last summer i did a small zen garden. each project damn near kills me, and i wonder if i'll have the strength to do another one - but what doesn't kill me makes me stronger, eh? have i ever posted a pic of that?

one of these years i'll get my corn crib gazebo done! there's a huge (20 ft diameter) old rusty corn crib in the woods with no roof - all covered with wild grapevine. so, i'm going to have my neighbor drag it out with a tractor, and put it in my yard. i'll build a teepee shaped roof to wire on the top of it out of branches (like my pergola), and plant wild grapevine all around it to grow and cover it, again. (too bad there's no way to drag it out without trashing the vines that are on it already.) and i'll put a crushed granite floor in it, a hammock and a little table and chairs. i'm so totally jazzed to do it. (some day! as in all of my projects, they get done as my health allows. so, don't hold your breath! ha!)

no pain, no gain, right?
i can't even remember what it felt like to be pain free anymore.

I had a wonderful rock garden with a solar powered light for night viewing.

Then a huge oak tree fell on it and destroyed it all. Obliterated the solar light. Crushed my vine fence. Alas.

Progress?

Europe was mired in stagflation....high inflation and high unemployment...she succeeded in bringing down inflation by reducing the welfare state...but not unemployment....the unemployment would come later and the rhetorical 3rd way was credited...but I believe the 3rd ways virtue lies not in it's policies(because there aren't any) but in the way that it brought left to center to make much needed financial reforms with the support of the right....

Well the real issue is: have the Dems gotten over the Geraldine Ferraro/Walter Mondale debacle?

It will surely give the Dems the shivers to try another woman in the VP slot. Mondale won one state (his own) and one District (of Columbia).
