What might it mean to have a Black president...can we talk??
What are the potential scenarios for the USA to have a Black president in a predominantly white nation?
Can Blacks and Whites and all others unite for the common good of it's citizens? Is it true that Whites look out for Whites and Blacks look out for Blacks and therefore never the twain shall meet? Will having a Black president create more anger from the Whites towards all Blacks in general or will this create more acceptance of each other? Does having a Black president have any meaning or importance to religion...for example we can have a Black president but not a Black Catholic priest? How do Jews, Southern Baptists, or Mormons feel about Blacks? There are approximately 25-30 'red' states, of which many of them are considered the 'bible belt', and many are infamous for their continued racial prejudice...how does this play out? Does having a Black president finally give Blacks the voice they desire at the federal level? Will Blacks feel a sense of entitlement from a Black president and will this become an overwhelming burden on the first Black president? Or are all of these propositions meaningless in the grand scheme of things in the USA and the new theme will be love thy neighbor no matter the color of their skin? I would prefer this discussion not be about Obama, and not be a place for Obama supporters to cast their rhetoric about him; how about some intellectual conversation about the generalities of having the first Black president? What are your thoughts?

Things will not magically change overnight. It is one part of a long process. The descendants of slave-owners will continue being racist.
The racial aspect may provide some personal benefit, but mostly old people just need to die. Racism is a disease of the mind - a fallacy. It is most ingrained during child-hood, as all things are. |

I'd like to discuss being on my lawn.
I want to ask you if you think it's alright to just come on my lawn. I'd like to ask you if you understand how much work, and effort I put into making my lawn nice. I'd further like to inquire as to why you think it's okay to come on my lawn, when it's mine. And I don't want to hear from anyone whose Frisbee or baseball landed on my lawn. I'd like to keep the conversation focused on my lawn, and whether people should be allowed to be on it.

Interesting questions. I think I need to know more about your lawn before I can give an honest answer though. I mean how do I know I would even want to come on your lawn in the first place? How do I know you don't have crabgrass?

Anyone who doesn't acknowledge the inherent superiority of my lawn, stands on broken glass, or sand, or rubble.

K!
![]() I would like to talk about gay marriage. Will letting gay people get married ruin our country? Will allowing gay people to marry make gays think we approve of their lifestyle? Can you catch gay if you touch a gay person? Should gays be allowed to kiss in public? Will the destruction of heterosexual marriage make straight people angry? Please answer these well reasoned questions without resorting to pro-gay rhetoric. |

I feel I am being discriminated against simply for being a questioner of said lawn quality and will not stop until this injustice is rectified.
