I don't Like Hillary Clinton's support of Federal Same Sex Civil Unions

Hillary and Obama have similar beliefs in regards to Same Sex Marriage. Both do not support a constitutional ban, but believe in Civil Unions not Marriage for Federal law.

I am disappointed. No I am not satisfied. One of these two needs to step up and take a step forward.....Obma could certainly prove he is for change by supporting Californians right for same sex marriage. Clinton could support it as well if she wanted but would have less of an impact than if Obama spoke out about it.

Frankly they don't sound that much different than McCain to me even knowing he is against C.U.s.

Is the future of the Democratic Party Gavin Newsome?

I couldn't agree more in fact I was disappointed to learn that none of the major Democratic candidates supported gay marriage back when the primaries started. I think it's one of those issues that those of the past won't let go of but I am optimistic that in time it will become more acceptable.

Yet Doc Z this would go against my Christian principles.

The cold hard fact is, nobody, can be elected today if they support gay marriage. It's a deal killer. Maybe in ten years after America sees that Massachusetts and California did not suffer the wrath of God, and heterosexual marriages stayed just as solid as ever. But not yet.

All of the candidates are Christians. How can they reconcile gay marriage with their Christian beliefs?

Christian principles are not going to change in 10 years or 10,000 years.

It seems to me that a politician's political courage is inversely proportional to his distance from the White House. Neither Obama nor Hillary have the courage to support gay marriage and risk losing their already meagre portion of the religious authoritarian vote.

It's a simple as ignoring the fact that we don't live in a time set in BC. Nothing wrong with the bible but even the best manuals get updated to reflect advancements. We can't be expected to live by stone age rules. Richter is right, in time this will become an acceptable event as we progress.

Please leave the country. Take your ilk with you. Your kind does not belong in U.S. politics.
