It's been US policy thru the Cuban Missle crisis, and MAD.

It's been effective, and makes it clear beyond ANY doubt that a nuclear first strike will be answerd in kind.

To disagree, is to hedge on an equal responce for a hostile state to use a nuclear first strike.

I'm sure Iran already knows what will happen if they nuke another country. She, and others, should be moving in the other direction - making sure no one has any intention of using nukes; no one has any want for using nukes; no one would even begin thinking about using nukes.

Which is why Iran is pursuing nukes (if it is). The constant threats by the U.S. and the ridiculous talk of mini-nukes and bunker-busters would make any nation work overtime to get on an equal nuclear footing with the U.S. It's a MAD world.

Come on...this question has been taken completely out of context.
It was a hypothetical question with a hypothetical response.

Here's another hypothetical, if Iran starts to nuke Israel which was the original question, I imagine that they might face retaliation by Israel.

Does anyone think Biden, Clinton or Obama is going to say..."oh it's just fine if Iran starts a Nuclear war against Isreal."
