This 'woman' can't stand in Eman's shadow. Please.

Exactly correct. This is what the Dems have been drooling for, a chance to frame this race as Obama vs Bush. It was truly a gift to the Obama camp. Interestingly enough, that's what everyone is saying everywhere I look... except for that little self-obsessed fan of the extreme Right that started this thread.
Well you inhabit Liberaland. It's right next to Oz.

No commie health care please. Keep the gov't away at all costs. It will destroy a fine system.

Under Bush we have had the insane idea that if we talk to rogue states thru diplomatic channels, somehow that is empowering them.

Obama's idea of presidentil level meetings without pre-conditions is not insane, but it is naive,
and potentially dangerous by giving US prestige, and semi-recognition to those states, without any benefit to us.
Better to SET PRE_CONDITIONS, to get them to reform, and then go into a summit, to iron out an agenda.

So it's a good thing the focus is on tis, no matter how clumsily Bush brought it out.

BTW. Talking is not appeasment, giving things away ( like the Sudatenland in WWII ) in the hopes for peace IS appeasement.
Talking to Hitler would have been a waste of time. Go read Mein Kampf and you will see that he saw it as a sign of weakness. Bullies tend to see talk as a sign of weakness. Now take a two-by-four and hit the bully up side the head when he threatens you and he will move along to a talker.

Beleive me. Bush's comments made the whole of his party cringe.

They don't want this election to include Bush. They want people to forget he ever existed.
What rock have you been hiding under? McCain has embraced Bush. I even received a mailer yesterday of a picture with Bush and McCain huggin together. Of course that is because I contributed (which I for one would like to do to Political Groove but Eric is a socialist) and they bombard contributors with mailings and phone calls.

That part of America that will not vote for Obama because he is black still love Bush. He's one of them to them. Obama needs to learn how to fake it as well as Bush has.

There are stupid conservative Republicans too. Just look at Trent Lott. The point Bush made though is that sometimes talking is counterproductive. Hitler saw it as weakness. So do the Islamofascists. See this is why we cannot let you liberals get in charge.

Congress' polls are lower than Bush. Hillary and Obama are members of Congress last I looked.
Well, reality *does* have that pesky liberal bias.

One of the most brilliant and honored members of the Republican party, Newt Gingrich, disagrees with you.

He has written about the coming diaster for the republican party if they cannot present themselves as separate from Bush. As promising change.

This is why dems won the 2006 elections. This is why they are still winning in traditional republican strong holds like Mississippi.

They have begun to voice their fears and see the writing on the wall if Bush continues to insert himself in this election.

I welcome it. Please, Bush. Keep talking. Make it ALL about you....

Even with the reverend wright issue being used as an attack by republicans in a republican STRONGHOLD, they lost their seat to a dem in Mississippi.

It's over, kid.

Te republicans have to brace themselves for a return to the permanent minority status they enjoyed for 3/4 of the 20th century.

I have heard Newt's analysis. Where is that 'Contract With America' now by the way? Forgotten.

Americans know in the recesses of their minds that Bush has kept us completely safe since 911. That brilliant stimulus package ($600) will keep us away from recession, which was the real threat to the GOP.

When they walk in the privacy of the voting booth, most will not be able to bring themselves to vote for the black guy (even though his mother was white) and will punch the button for McCain. Jesse, Al and Barack warmed it up good for next lighter bright negro though.

Unless we are attacked again. Then they want kick ass Republicans running the show. Hillary's are bigger than Obama's.

Nice! That was very nearly convincing that time!

Keep at it, tiger.
