President John McCain

That sort of has a ring to it. This is going to happen and I think many of you are aware of it inspite of what Chris Matthews and MSNBC is spouting. Many on this board will claim rigged election. You have to realize that the liberals on this board are a minority in this country. This country just won't vote someone they can not trust with the presidency. Get used to the sound of "President John McCain".

My concern about McCain is that he has no relationship with black people. McCain is a nice enough guy but he reminds me of Ronald Reagan on race: it just doesnt exist.

But Bill Clinton pimped blacks bad so maybe McCain's apathy might not be such a bad thing.

I think that blacks should spend more energy on improving race relations at the citizenry level.

McCain isn't and couldn't reintroduce the Jim Crowe laws even if he wanted to.

Yet the citizenry practices both casual and active racism abundently. The MSM shows kids after Katrina wading in the water with groceries. The white ones were noted as 'scavenging for food' and the black kids were 'looting'. Both had foodstuffs in their bags.

Better jump on the bandwagon. Wouldn't want to get screwed by my country because I voted for the other guy. Fact is, I don't want to get screwed by my country for any reason.

You are right. But the citizenry has the perfect right to be racist personally. I have no beef with that. It is just when they abuse others with it that I have a problem.

I simply put it under the category: problem beyond human capability to solve.

I would not expect malevolence from McCain. Just apathy as opposed to something proactive.

Yeah, suuuuuuuuuuure.

So you still support the troops but support a candidate that won't support the GI bill?

This war in the ME has lasted longer than WWII for heavens sakes, doesn't our best deserve better benefits? How does a shoddy GI Bill support the troops?

That's what the right wingers do to get ppl to vote against their interests, they count on low information voters but sorry, they ain't that many around, here.

Maybe it's time for you to return to dittohead land? Sounds like you need to refresh your talking (but never thinking) points.

Then McCain is not your man.

Don't you watch the news?!!

Veteran groups are up in arms about this!

Senator Webb, former Sec of the Navy under Reagan, is the sponsor of the GI bill!
