Arrow Poll: Key Hillary Constituencies Moving Towards Obama

Poll: Key Hillary Constituencies Moving Towards Obama

By Greg Sargent

The latest national numbers from Gallup show some startling movement towards Obama among Dems who have been among Hillary's most reliable supporters.

It finds that Obama is now tied with Hillary among whites (47%-47%); leads her among women (49%-46%); edges her among Dems with a high school graduate or less (46%-47%); and leads her among Hispanics (51%-44%).

Those groups, obviously, have been the bedrock of Hillary's candidacy. The only major demographic group that Hillary gets 51% or more of are women aged 50 and older.

These numbers suggest that Obama's support is broadening daily, and that the party's rank and file -- in addition to its institutional players -- appear to be coalescing behind him.

natural co-alesing behind the nominee.
The figures to watch are the negatives, as we go thru the general.

Can he bring them down?
Afterall she is a "political corpse", as Buchannan called her.

Wanna take a guess at who has the least favorable ranking out of Obama, McCain and Hillary?
RealClearPolitics - Election 2008 - Clinton: Favorable/Unfavorable

how about the highest?

it's knee slappin' funny coming from cosmo for two reasons.

1) hillary's got the highest negatives - and they keep getting higher!

2) hillary's responsible for driving obama's up with her negative campaigning! shit, mc cain and the gop just had to sit back and drink margaritas while hillary did her level best to attempt to make obama "unelectable"!

wtf? NOW cosmo's worried about negatives!

with that kind of logic, is it any wonder people have a real rough time respecting cos's opinions?

I find it funny that he actually likes that I am quoting him in my sig.

Considering what it says about him.

It is the sign of a closed mind when ones point of view causes them to contradict themselves.

It shows the inability to see things any other way which forces them to do any and everything to protect their original point of view.

In fact when those actions actually prove them wrong? You can bet they are being lead by emotion rather then reason.

dude....if you want to add to that list just go back a little ways in that "BAAAAhhh they're the reason I'm leaving" (or something similar) thread....the spinning was absolutely mind numbing.

Thanks.

What people just don't get is that her negatives have never been below 40 since her healthcare fiasco in her husband's first term.

Had Barack Obama never been born, Hillary Clinton would still have never had a chance to win the general election.

I long ago ceased " worying" about Obamaniacs opinions.
Unlike urself, and others - i don't sit around and try to spin everything as anti-Hillary, and pro-Obama.
I've been critical of Hillary, I don't think you ever said anything critical about Obama.

The point of my post was purely from a pollsetrs p.o.v.

I said" watch the negatives ( or the pro-Hillary numbers more accurately) - to see if they come down.
46% of Dem's still prefer Clinton, though she has no chance of getting the nomination. -got it?
