McCain Campaign: Comment Trolls Wanted
Wishing you could be a campaign surrogate, but don't have a national platform? Do you find blogging your own opinions tedious? Wish you could have someone tell you what to think during this political season? Well look no further than John McCain's new blog outreach! John McCain 2008 - John McCain for President
That's right; the McCain camp wants to recruit online supporters and activists to serve as comment trolls. From their website: Help spread the word about John McCain on news and blog sites. Your efforts to help get the message out about John McCain's policies and plan for the future is one of the most valuable things you can do for this campaign.... Select from the numerous web, blog and news sites listed here, go there, and make your opinions supporting John McCain known. Once you've commented on a post, video or news story, report the details of your comment by clicking the button below. Now, don't worry if you've never heard of a blog, or never written a comment, or heck, even used a computer. Because not only does the campaign tell you on which blogs to comment -- Redstate for right-wingers, Daily Kos for progressives (sorry HuffPo fans, we didn't make the list) -- it will even tell you what to say! Just click on the Blog Interaction page for "Today's Talking Points." Just look at today's gem, entitled "Time For Solutions:" Today's Talking Points The Issue: Time for Solutions John McCain will put the national interest ahead of partisanship, he will work with anyone who sincerely wants to get this country moving again. If John McCain is elected President, the era of the permanent campaign will end. The era of problem solving will begin. Read More... The Issue: Partisanship There are serious issues at stake in this election, and serious differences between the candidates. And we will argue about them, as we should. But it should remain an argument among friends; each of us struggling to hear our conscience, and heed its demands; each of us, despite our differences, united in our great cause, and respectful of the goodness in each other. You might be thinking, "What's in it for me?" As a matter of fact, for every comment the McCain verifies, you will awarded points in McCain Action Center. Which is important, because in Fantasy Land 2013, those things will replace the dollar as American currency. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- we should start a daily "spot the talking point!" game! ![]()

I hate to agree with Mud but he's right.
Now, quickly back to disagreeing, with something Mud will not admit. It would be no different for McCain to have commenters but that is where the scant few similarities end. Fact is McCain has about 0..wait, no, 1 (Mud) and that's why he laughingly has to try and recruit them. Maybe he'll be paying them next so Mud could go make a few bucks. You don't have to be good. Maybe some of your grandparents will go out and buy their first PC then start bloggin' some smack...sure . ...show them fancy pants young whippersnappers a thing or two.![]() |

i guess you could say that, pat, other than the fact that i'm NOT taking talking points directly from obama's campaign website and distributing like a robot!
in case you haven't noticed, about half of what i paste here from huff post are actual articles from other news sources... and the other half are opinions from bloggers that i agree with. and that's not REALLY the same thing, now, is it?

Every morning I get my 'double super secret' liberal-fascist talking points beamed directly into my skull in encrypted form. I decrypt them by drinking a latte while sitting in my Volvo listening to NPR.
But don't tell anybody else. I don't want the secret to get out... ![]()

Did you not detect the irony? Here's a hint: There are no significant numbers of McCain commenters taking the initiative to comment on their own (he's having to beg the general public to muster what would only be a drop in the bucket). Which part of this had you not picked up on? |
