Hillary Clinton said on October 11, 2007, that she knew the Michigan
vote would not count. See video above.

Cosmic, go ahead and look up the video of your state's Democratic leaders voting on the motion to move up the date of the primary. Then come back here and try to tell us chuckles isn't to blame. It sounds as if the Republicans were willing to make changes to the bill but the Democratic leadership in your state didn't want it. They wanted the date moved up in defiance of the DNC rules. They just wanted to be able to blame it on the Republicans.

and that has WHAT to do with Hillary being the blame?

Nice spin job too . They DEFIED the all powerful DNC!
Who complete screwed up their " punishment" by stripping ALL delegates, essentially giving the finger to Fla, voters.

Bu the Repub's faced the same thing.
They quietly settled the issue, by reducing the delegates by 1/2.

which is where we'll prolly end up with today, after MONTHS of drama.
EXCELLENT LEADERSHIP! boys and girls !!

they are morons for handling the whole thing with the grace of a butterfly with lead wings.

The Repubs had the same challenge.
They settled it, had campaigns here, and didn't fracture the party.

But no.... not Dean et all. their ham-fisted approach left the candidates unable to campaign, and after ALL this angst - voila'

we're prolly back to what the Repub. solution was.

Not only that----at their hearing the party gave them ANOTHER 30 days to correct their error!

Here is their reply:

"After months of careful deliberations, our Party's leaders have chosen overwhelmingly to reaffirm our strong commitment to fully participating in the state-run Democratic Presidential Primary on January 29, 2008, despite the penalties from the Democratic National Committee. ....
Sincerely,
Congresswoman Karen L. Thurman
Chairwoman, Florida Democratic Party"

It was a conscious choice to defy the party!

Where exactly did I state that Hillary was to blame? What spin? Every contest has rules, the Florida Democratic leadership didn't play by the rules, they got slapped down. I am sure even you can understand the reluctance of Democrats to use the Republican rules as precedent, even tho Hillary likes to state. "If we were going by Republican rules, I would have already won" Hillary only had problems with Florida and Michigan losing thier votes after she discovered she was behind. What a phoney piece off shit.

by Mithrall Of course they didn't have a nitwit like Hillary. Can we loan Hillary to the Republicans for next time?

How exactly did I blame her for the Florida situation? I just called her nitwit and added that she was completely self-serving in exploiting the controversy with Florida and Michigan. She didn't create the problem but she sure as hell made every effort to exploit it.
