Some issues with McCan
Wants Roe vs. Wade made irrelevant, but would not repeal it. (Aug 1999)
Overturn Roe v. Wade, but keep incest & rape exceptions. (Jan 2000) His vote: Supports repealing Roe v. Wade. (May 2007) Voted YES on maintaining ban on Military Base Abortions. (Jun 2000) Voted NO on $100M to reduce teen pregnancy by education & contraceptives. (Mar 2005) Flip flop. Voted YES on prohibiting same-sex marriage. (Sep 1996) Ban on same-sex marriage is unRepublican; leave it to states. (Nov 2006) Flip flop. Voted YES on allowing some lobbyist gifts to Congress.
