Breaking: Hillary now says she's open to being Barack Obama's running mate

Oh yay. Faced with being slapped with a loss and no willingness to concede this is what she comes up with.

Fine, if she has to be and that's what Obama wants but it would be nice to see her show just a fucking tidge of humility for once in her life.

If he chose her I think it'd be somewhat of a wash as to whether it'd help Obama or not.
Personally, I'd switch my vote to McCain from Obama. I'm sure there are others who'd do the same. Still others who would've voted for Obama but just would not vote or vote 3rd party.
Still others who maybe would not have voted, but would vote with her (this is the only scenario where I see having her on the ticket would actually hurt McCain.)
I can't imagine a scenario of anyone actually switching their vote from McCain to Obama just because she's on the ticket.

Regardless, it seems she's not going to give up being in the news easily. She really reminds me of Nixon more and more.

Tell that to the MSM. Hillary's changed her mind at least three times today so far and they have to keep changing their banners.

For the record everyone is quite chilled with the exception of the spastic Clinton campaign who are running around changing their stories like a chicken with their heads cut off.

If he stuck her on the ticket, I think he would lose as many of his own supporters as he mollified her supporters by adding her. He would destroy his own message and brand. I just can't see him doing it. I would be very disapointed in him to say the least. If people want to vote against their own interests, fuck em, nature weeding out the stupid. I have a feeling that after a few months, even the most obtuse among them will finally fall in line. Even if it is for no other reason than following the crowd.

Hillary on the ticket would be a magnet for some Republican voters to get out to vote against her. She is even more hated than Bill, and both are more hated than Adolph Hitler among some Republicans
who got sick of seeing them and hearing about them in the 90s.

The time for that is past. There are way too many reasons that wouldn't work anymore, and I don't expect Obama to consider it an option.

here's how i look at it:

against it -
will completely negate obama's new politics message
will motivate the gop base
he doesn't need her

for it -
will bring back SOME women

rangel told cnn he wasn't changing his endorsement to obama, but that hillary said she'd be open to vp. to me, that really sounded like rangel was trying to force obama to take her in exchange for his vote. pfffffft. again, obama doesn't need it.

Will somebody get the brass umbrella around her neck and yank her off the fucking stage already? I think we need Olberman and others to go over, one more time, just how fuzzy the math is that puts her in the nomination spotlight and awards her the majority of the popular vote. She says caucuses don't count and are unconstitutional. She's boasting about a Puerto Rico victory when the citizens of that commonwealth can't vote in the general election.

You know every discussion we have here regarding our thoughts, or desires for this election has to be characterized as "bashing" or "drinking koolaid" or who knows what else.

Those same folks who do this do not like how they are characterized in return----and have now taken to whining at other sites about it.

I don't see a WORD "bashing" Hillary. She has LOST an election BIGTIME with EVERY advantage on her side.

She had a world class politician stumping for her which doubled her exposure.

She had twice as much money going into the primary's and a HUGE poll advantage.

Hillary has alienated more blocks of voters than she has attracted and has been so low in her tactics that a republican today described a low life tactic/remark by McCain today as taking a "lesson out of the Hillary Clinton playbook".

Her negatives and in the mid 50's and rising. More voters have voted against Hillary than ANY candidate in the history of this nation.

So---no there is NO reason to want Hillary on a ticket for dog catcher---much less president.
