Obama's best speech yet!

Obama, in claiming victory, was the absolute epitomy of graciousness. He praised Hillary for having made him a more educated campaigner, and that when we achieve many of the things we wish to achieve, it will be in large part because she will have worked hard to help get it done.

He also praised McCain's service to our country, and made clear that the differences between himself and the republican candidate are not personnal, but policy differences.

Again, this man, in this speech, showed himself in victory to be the eptiomy of graciousness. I truly hope, as he and Hillary work to unite the party that many of those of you hear who've supported him all along will follow this lead.

I have no doubt that Hillary will be extremely supportive in any way she can.

I also have no doubt that the best way she can be supportive is one of those decisions that is being worked on at this time.

If it is determined that her being VP is best for the party, that will happen. If it is determined that she being attorney general will be best for the party, that will happen.

Mainly, Obama and Clinton will remain good friends and colleagues, and will both work together for the common good.

It's my sincere hope that we, the people, can do the same.

Okay, you've caught up to where everyone else was last November.

She can help by staying off the ticket.

If she's the vp then Obama will lose the general election. She's done. The 20th century is over and so are the Clintons.

He hasn't caught up to where everyone else was last November or February or March.

He is still hoping that the Republicans will use Jeremiah Wright so that the superdelegates will switch to Hillary in November. And he
loves the delicious possibility of "an act of God" that would give the nomination to Clinton happening between now and August. (He thought the outrage over her RFK assassination remark was "making a mountain out of a molehill.")

And the only way she can help is by staying off the ticket. The Republicans, who were slobbering for Hillary to be the easily defeatable nominee, will bring out their long list of old and new Clinton scandals if she is on the ticket.

I also must ask who could "remain a good friend and colleague" of an opponent who said that one reason she has stayed in the race is the possibility of his assassination?

Who could "remain a good friend and colleague" of one who said that "so far as she knew" he was not a Muslim. And was such a hypocrite that she called the superdelegates in a frenzy saying that his
Christian minister made him unelectable?

Who could "remain a good friend and colleague" of one who darkened his picture to make him look blacker, and who gave Drudge a picture of him in Muslim garb.

Who could "remain a good friend and colleague" of an opponent whose husband mimicked him with these words: "Vote for me; I don't rob
banks." "Vote for me; I don't steal cars."

What black person could "remain a good friend and colleague" of an opponent who boasted of her support from "hardworking white people"?

i agree that hillary must NOT be on the ticket...
for a whole host of reasons.

but i'm going to give jd his due.
i don't give a fuck if it's sincere or not.
he is attempting to get on the bandwagon,
and i'm not going to knock ANYONE off who wants to get on it.

by the same token, i'm not going to continue to take ANY shit from anyone attempting to pretend this primary fight ISN'T over, or that it wasn't WON fair and square!

I'm gonna say jd's use of the word 'claim' was the 'claim your prize' usage, rather than the other.....

As you can see, Mr. Danton, Mr. Obama's sincere graciousness is not
shared by some of his supporters here. It seems few of Mr. Obama's
positive traits are shared by them.

I was being supportive of Jdanton's post.

Reconciliation and unity are very much two way streets. You may want to clean your own house as well.

I was not referring to you, and the position of my post was coincidental
to yours. You are the one and the only one, of the respondents to
this thread who displayed class, unlike the other three, who would not
know class if it served them lunch on a sliver platter.
