Andrea Mitchell reporting on Msnbc that her congressional supporters held a conf call with her saying they were not happy how she had conducted herself last night, including Rep. Rangel.

did anyone just hear lanny davis say that it would have been reasonable if she needed to take "a few days, or even a few weeks" to unwind, think about stuff and decide...

i guess she decided maybe she better do what would be expected of ANY opponent who loses - after she got that phone call.

which was supposed to be just her and the NY delegation, but so many of her supporters were pissed that it ended up with 23 people telling her in no uncertain terms that it was URGENT! they wanted to sound out. they were extremely upset about her speech. "a lot of frustration and embarrassment" on the hill. a lot of "discomfort and displeasure" with her performance. rangle, on the record: "i did not like what i heard. it was not gracious, once he hit the magic number, she should have conceded and endorsed and it put us in a terrible spot."

wooh! imagine getting your butt chewed out by 23 congressmen - an intervention, so to speak.

the senate isn't going to be a very warm and fuzzy place, no more.
no governor, no VP, no senate leadership.

and i just heard there was a second conference call - from 8 of her own hard core senator supporters, who were enlisted by a group of hillary's own campaign advisors - asking the senators to please "get her out".

two interventions in one day!

supposedly, she also backed off (later today) on the VP idea because she was told it meant bill would ALSO have to be vetted and they would have to release a list of his donors for his library, etc.

sounds like hillary had a rough day!

Howard Fineman on Msnbc said there was a Senate Conf call as well with Hrc.

He said Senior Hrc leadership had encouraged them to call. He could not name names...
