After eight years of W I would think that all people who call themselves Dems would automatically rally behind the nominee.

It must be very special to actually believe in a candidate enough to get so pathetically hurt by the supporters of the other candidate to actually consider voting for the republican candidate.

Just as W squandered the goodwill of the people of the world after 9/11. The Clinton supporters will squander away the opportunity to actually hold the senate, congress and the White House. Obama may not be the answer to everything. But he is a hell of allot better than McCain. I just hope these Clinton supporters will come to their senses before it's to late. And get over sour grapes, hurt feelings or shear childishness. The Harriet Christian's of this country can all go get stuffed.

Kana---the declaration of independence said all men were created equal ----NOT the same. They are equal in that that were all endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights.

The use of the term "equal" does NOT imply of like race, or sex or intelligence or wealth or anything that simplistic.

What is means is that people are--- to a society ---- to God --- equivalent. The failure to explore all the implications of the term "equal" accounts for a lot of the sexism codified in our laws.

I cannot find a sentence of the Declaration of Independence that I disagree with---or that I would want to 'blow off' (my term NOT yours) for any reason. If I don't live up to the principles ---- I still set them as personal goals.

Seriously----I may argue with a lot of people around here and say a lot of hostile things to many. I think that there are those who have earned disregard or should have their disrespect reciprocated at every possible turn---but it does not occur to me to think of them as people that should be "looked down upon". That is a pretty overwelming thought to me.

Maybe I am parsing. I suppose "disrespecting" is the action part of "looking down on" so I must be falling short of my own standard.

We are all God's children. I don't LIKE some of God's children very much at all---his rapists and pedophilles and murderers and terrorists---but this LOOK DOWN on thing really doesn't comport with my fundamental beliefs.

Seems like the base presumption of your thought would be that all Hillary supporters were FOR Hillary and not AGAINST Obama.

Those here would SERIOUSLY undermine that assumption.

They virtually NEVER could come up with positives for Hillary. From January until now most of our Hillho's arguments have been that Obama is bad.

Now----you could suggest that they were just following their candidates lead. After Iowa when it finally occured to Hillary that people might chose Obama over her---her entire campaign has been about pulling Obama down to her level.

And like her supporters she has used every obsfucation should could muster---settling most frequently on racially charged issue when she learned that she could get the racist vote that way.

In New Hampshire she began with deceit with the Abortion Mailer.

These folks have not in any significant way illustrated some profound belief in Hillary. The closet any part of them come to that is the feminists but even they have had to resort to lying and feigning victimization (two very UN-Feminist tactics) in order to even run with their women thing.

Frankly---it makes perfect sense that those who rallied behind a campaign based on negation would continue to negate.

The Harriet Chirstians are at least women with the gumption to acknowledge that they are racists and are hell bent on staying racist and acting like the racists they are. I respect that more than the punk pussies who go around trying to pretend that they would support Obama if someone would just pander to them by kissing their asses every other post!

They will be voting for McCain no matter what anyway!

Like I have said before----those who chose Hillary because they saw something they wanted to support have (see Gloria Steinam thread) been coming forward without all the delusional "you better kissy my booty to get my vote" bullshit!

They step up with the "okay, my candidate lost --- where do I pitch in to get Obama elected" attitude AND GUESS WHAT----they are treated JUST FINE!

We have been pleasantly surprised at people joining the Obama groups that were Hillary folks asking not for nothing more than a point in the direction of where their work can be helpful.

THESE are people who had a fair and honest difference of opinion. They have also not likely compromised every fucking ounce of personal integrity defending all of Hillary's shit for the last 17 months. They wanted a woman prez. that's all.

weekend to see if you perhaps took a few minutes off from revealing
participant's real names to the world, accusing other participants of
suborning contract murder, falsely quoting Hillary Clinton of saying
"I hope he gets assassinated", and other lies and distortions, to list
that "misinformation" I posted, particularly that "misinformation"
equal to the claim Oprah and Obama are in cahoots with Nigerian
e-mail scams.
