Rules for this forum

Revised Rules
Now that the primaries are over this forum is for the support of our democratic nominee. All posts that support McCain are still welcome on this site but not in this forum, please use the Conservatives forum for all pro republican/McCain posts.

What does this mean?
If you think George Bush is a great president and want to see his policies carried over with John McCain and want to post about it in this forum instead of the Conservatives forum, then you will most likely be banned.

If you do not support Obama, who is our Democratic nominee and post hit piece articles, negative bashing, etc. in this forum you will most likely be banned. We will start by moving your threads to the Conservatives forum to give you the hint. Questioning his policies and actions are fine as long as it doesn't defy the rule above.

If you are a conservative and still wish to post in this forum following these rules then you are more then welcome.

Please keep this forum related to democratic nominee only
Any and all threads relating to bill and/or hillary clinton will need to be started in the general politics forum from now on. This forum is for the general election now and unless hillary clinton somehow becomes the democratic nominee or obama's vice presidential running mate, then there is no longer any reason for threads about her to be in here.

If you wanna debate her behavior in the primary elections, general politics is the place to do it as the primaries are over.

These rules is bullshit
Some will not like this rule I know. If you are one of these people you have two options, leave the site or hang in the Conservatives forum.

Thanks for understanding.

Discussing Hillary is still fine here but I would like to encourage us to start unifying and putting our differences aside to work on unifying the party.

Thanks for understanding.
Huh? No dissent allowed?

Better change the name of the forum then.

Clarification Please.

Those of us supporting Obama may need to share critical info about McCain. Where will that be posted (especially if it is negative)?

We can discuss McCain in this forum, obviously he's the opponent but we will not "support" him is all. We have a place for that on this site already.

I can't necessarily rename this forum because it will really hurt the site in search engine standings but I could close (archive) it off and create a new one with a more fitting name if everyone agrees that's a better idea.

That may be a good idea....would you want input from the members? Maybe a poll to see if a renaming is needed.....I would hope the PoliticalGroove part satys in some form though.

Yeah, I think an"All things Obama" type of area would be a good compromise. Heck, if all we could do is pat ourselves on the back about what a great candidate we have, and all the reasons we love him so, I would go bonkers fast.

And we can still do that. This is a preventative measure and an overall guideline that this is primarily a democratic forum. Things are going to get pretty ugly during the GE, it's easy to forget just how ugly but the Hillary/Obama disdain was nothing compared to what the republicans will be bringing.

And speaking for myself and I'm sure, many others on this board, I relish the prospect of ripping the McCain supporters to threads on a daily basis with every ounce of energy I can summon. (wherever that is allowed, of course)
