I'm sure they will, but then again I'd be saying it's Hillary fault if- yet AGAIN, the democrats snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. So the emotion behind the argument is understandable even if the logic is sorely lacking.

Obama IS going to vote for the bill---even with the telecom immunity.

I am not happy.

I am sorry to hear that Heretic. I really am!

But I can relate.........

I am going to have to hang in there with him this time though.

I will just have to keep my fingers crossed that once they get FISA back in place they will continue to make the other adjustments that need to be made.

Is there anything that he could say from the floor that would give him a shot at keeping your vote?

KO had an interseting take on this...Obama is trying to appear middle of the ground but there is still the possibility of future prosecution in the bill he supports.

Still a bad presedent to set. Letting this pass even for the last six months of teh Jr. Administration is too dangerous, and we run the risk that a president AFTER Obama might opt for the Jr. approach just because this bill passed.

No, not an option. Either Obama opposes this bill [if it still contains the telecom immunity provision] or he's not serious about protecting the 4th and 5th amendments.

In my opinion he'll do that, but I can't be sure until he does.

I agree, I am never for "compromise" when it comes to the Bill of Rights. If the Republicans truely want to seed most governmnent functions over to the private sector then the private sector is going to have to be accountable for constitutional breaches.

The absolute worst thing you can do when dealing with a bully is back down.

And that's exactly what he's done, back down, on the Bill of Rights, no less. And if you don't understand it, he'll hold another press conference to try and explain that he did not really mean what he said earlier. What a load of crock.

Is that so?..I would imagine him and Rachel ., "but, but, but...he's not changing his mind, he just appears that way. "

And with all due respect Julia, you may be disappointed by his stance.
