Will Cynthia McKinney Take Votes Away From Obama?
There were two black candidates in the 2004 presidential race: Al Sharpton and Carol Moseley-Braun. Now there are two black candidates in the 2008 cycle now that the Green Party has nominated former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney to be its presidential candidate.
She was nominated in Chicago, Illinois and gave a good left wing liberal speech. The hair was also neatly cornrowed [it was a big issue when she was in Congress]. Her name will be on the ballots of approximately 36 states. Will she, combined with Ralph Nader, take enough votes away from Obama to lose in November? |

I had an email exchange with a guy who was running for the gov of Tennessee on the GP ticket.
I found him to be a bit of a jerk. I'm beginning to wonder if the mission of the GP is to spoil elections. It does seem suspicious to me.

Ralph Nader and the Green Party are spoilers for the DNC. Just as Ross Perot was for the GOP.
If it is close, this could be the difference in crucial states. There are no two bigger egos on Earth than McKinney and Nader. |
