Indeed

I've only watched clips of O'Reilly ranting, hence my reluctance to watch the interview until Winthrop & Veronica's posts.

It is so strange to listen to a politician speak without all my BS detectors ringing off the wall. Obama has no ulterior motives, nor does Biden. I can settle down and see how the wind blows, knowing we're in good hands.

EDIT (should they win -- of course)

Then you will be doing Obama and the rest of America a major disservice!

I have said so many times here---that i don't have to place my faith in Obama. The way Obama is setting things up we are placing our faith in one another!

When Obama wins his battle --- OUR battle begins!

When we have a seat at some of the tables of government we have to know what we want to do and we have to be willing to fight the good long hard fight to get it!

This is where lobbyests beat out "we the people" everytime. They are not looking to sigh and relax. they are willing to invest time (lots of it) and resources (even more of that) into getting what they want.

Our greatest resource is our love for our nation and our desire to form a more perfect union! We HAVE to be willing to give our time and invest our resources each and every day to align the ship of state on a new course.

I'm not sure you understand me, but yeah, of course RK.

Let me put it this way: I'm not looking for people to do my work for me (or, I should say, our work for us). I'm tired of being almost physically sick with loathing when I see our leaders lie and tear our countries apart as they pander to big business and the wealthiest sectors, who have no interest for the well-being for the rest of the nations' people when they look after their incredibly destructive, personal agendas.

It's good to have some faith in leadership for a change.

Then we take our cues from them, and yeah. Begin the begin. I'll spare you the R.E.M. song link.

It was an attempted hachet job by O'Rielly, but Obama kept his cool despite the pig's efforts. And it's clear Billo was desperate to talk over Obama whenever Obama was proving him dead fucking wrong [which was throughout the interview].

Lastly, why are the right wing so stupid about throwing around the invasion of Pakistan as an alternative to putting diplomatic pressure. Haven't they ever heard of a Snatch'n'Grab? Other approaches are simply an airstrike and then a statement about the ground attack mission "accidentally" straying off course and dropping steel on the "wrong" target.

Even Bill Clinton wasn't above using military "accidents" to send a message to the communist Chinese government during the Kosovo war.

I am SOOOOOOOO glad! I fear that out of the millions of voters only a handful of us are going to be prepared for the surge that only "we the people" can make happen AFTER the election!

I think I know what you mean then.

You will be ready to kick into to gear joyfully and confident and happy to show the world just what "We the People" REALLY means!

It will be a kick ass time for us come January. Sooooooooo much to so and so little time to not only get what we need to get done but also examine ways to make it impossible for things to ever get this bad again.

There'll be some laughter over this, but for O'Reilly, he wasn't too bad.

...Then again, perhaps even he realizes he was probably speaking with the next President of the United States: perhaps he cut his usual crap?

You tell me. I don't watch this man's show. He talked over Obama, yup, and interrupted him, but that's Bill.

Still, Obama got some points in. It'll be interesting to watch the rest of this interview next week.

Wild West mentality: shoot first, ask questions later

Hell I sounded the same way about Iran eons ago

That'd be the smartest (I think, anyway)

You know how I feel about that one.

Overusing the phrase, but let's wait and see how things go, save the scrap we'll have should we continue on this particular subject.

... unless Obama & Biden both manage to convince me it's the best way. All this may not come to pass. We'll see.

Yeah, lovely accidents. Like hitting a Sudanese pharmaceutical factory. Oops

Apologies to Winthrop: I've been on a slow boil over Bill Clinton after reading quite a bit about Rwanda, it was a final straw of sorts. I don't mean to pick some wounds here: he's a far, far better person than JR, not to mention a better president. Stating the obvious, but I liked him very much once, so I'm angrier than usual (and partly at my own former ignorance/naivete).

Soo, which song would like you like to sing over, say, tomorrow morning at 6 AM while rubbing your eyes?

Man, I did a bad thing, plastering a song clip into a political thread that isn't my own. See what you made me do?

I may actually manage to fall asleep in an hour. Insomniacs unite!
