Yes. And how many of them in any part of their being believe that this represents some sort of "success" to be included in a speech to the nation?

A CORE personality trait of republicans is that they are liars or they support, encourage or admire lying. Their electorate not only defends it---they REWARD it with their votes---over and over and over and over again.

When you engage in SILLY lies then you slide more and more toward the pathologic liar. When you lie about obvious easily disproved things EVEN in the face of evidence to the contrary (as Hillary did on Bosnia) then you are seriously pathological!

I have no idea what that refers to. But that too would fall into the pathologic category. Those who use as their excuse for lying that someone else lies.

Now this is almost defending what I've been saying.

If she's a pathological liar, it will come out. Nothing has to be made up.

You seriously don't know the history of Louisiana politics? It's legendary.

But I'll explain it. LA has a well-deserved reputation for Democratic insider politics. So I alluded to that we are going to find out that Alaska may be the same for Republicans.

Factcheck.org has a slew of lies McCain has told already exposed on their sight.

This fact has made Politfact.com already.

It is coming out. That is what our discussing her lies here is all about. Why are you sweating it then?

As I've explained, in this case about the jet, I supplied the text of her convention speech that specifically says she "Put" it on eBay, not "Sold" it. So for people to continue to "prove" she didn't "sell" it on eBay are wasting their time. There are other real issues that are within easy reach, such as she and/or her husband being in a separatist group and the link that I provided how she bragged in her own handwriting about how she got her earmark money.

I've been pretty consistent in saying I think boards like this one shouldn't be pouncing wildly at her. It may actually force McCain to dump her in time to find another, more competent VP. I think Obama will have no problem fixing her wagon as opposed to maybe another candidate.

No--- I seriously DO know more than just a thing or two about LA politics which are quite legendary.

I just don't play the repuke game that you seem to enjoy playing. You know--the "Allude to shit that you really know nothing about" game.

This game was made relatively infamous recently on Hardball when the repuke tried repeating the talking point of the day about Chamberlain and appeasement being analogous to what a Democrat (I forget which one) was doing. The ASSHOLE had NO idea what Chamberlain had done and finally had to admit as much.

LA has a reputation for ALL politicians insider politics. If you HONESTLY know anything about LA politics then you know this and have QUITE INTENTIONALLY, shall we say, FIBBED here.

The definition of Republican is insider sleeze politics. They have gotten sooooooo disgusting with it that the filthy stench is now oozing over into the already knee deep in shit judiciary branch of the government.

By the way, MSNBC is now discussing this as part of the overall question of "what the hell does McCain know about Palin"

They also note that she sold the plane at a loss to a repuke contributor! Sleezy deal all the way around.

When you pimp a woman as a whore then don't whine when people ask if she can FUCK!

This woman was brought in NOT for her experience, not for ANY political tract record for success in ANYTHING (in her own home town they had to appoint an administrator to run the city because she was soooo incompetent and recall petitioning had begun).

She was not brought in for any knowledge base---the woman apparently had academic 'issues' attending 5 colleges in 6 years and majoring in journalism---not something that would give her a political knowledge base.

She was not brought in for policy strengths, she has positions that pull McCain far to the right where he has fought going for decades.

She was brought in for character traits. THAT is it!

When you do that people are going to scrutinize her character closely.

She wants to pimp her biography? Her biography will be evaluated and discussed.

She wants to paint herself as a principled person? Her principles will be tested.

She wants to tout her motherhood? Her motherhood will be examined.

She wants to be trusted by the American people? Her honesty is at issue.

Get over it!

Get over whining about it. This board is one of literally thousands on the internet.

This CONSTANT delusional pretense of people around here that just because they come here it somehow overwelming effects something in this election is insane!

It is just an excuse to whine about something you don't like hearing. Nothing more. Nothing less.

NOR SHOULD THEY!

At very early stages candidates get defined. After awhile people simply repeat "whatever" as if it is conventional wisdom!

Practically before the primaries began Obama was "defined" as a muslim. 12% of Americans still believe that despite MASSIVE evidence to the contrary.

Do you think the repukes went around whining to each other about how that "might" backfire? PLEASE!

Only someone desparate to assist Palin and McCain would persist in attempting to offer such a ridiculous assertion as rationale for citizens on a message board ceasing to discuss those issues that come to their attention.

DON'T FALL FOR IT!

It would be QUITE different if the argument was that these things were not true or well sourced. The fall back argument here is just that it is not "nice" and failing that ---- good old repuke last resort bullshit---fear tactic----OOOOOOOOOOO "It might backfire!"
