Ann & Nancy Wilson Just say no to GOP use of "Barracuda."

The Wilson sisters of Heart have sent a cease and desist letter in response to Sara Palin's adoption of the tune as her theme song. You go girls!Heart says RNC’s ‘Barracuda’ use is fishy - MUSIC - MSNBC.com

Why do republicans always use songs by musicians they know won't support them? They should just stick to Country Western.

And why does any political party keep using "Born in the USA?"

Reagan used it, and this year the Dems played it over and over during the convention. Hasn't anyone read the lyrics.

Summary:

Guy gets in trouble and to avoid going to jail goes to Viet Nam instead.
Guy comes back and can't get a job.
Guy has no prospects and feels betrayed.

Real cheery song.

How ironic it is that the party happiest to do the RIAA's hatchet work for them is so prone to snag artists' song without bothering to seek permission first
