Independent Parties (say, like the Libertarians) are extremist 'hacks' loyal to a party - which by definition makes you a non-independent, but thats another thread.

Non-voting eligible voter percentages at 53%, and voter eligible non-voters I've talked to sure sound independent to me. The oxymoronism of the situation is maddening.

voter eligible non-voters piss me off more than any party cheer leader. They complain and don't do anything to improve their situation.

If you ask my children, they would tell you that I bullied them into voting, but then during the primaries they waited for me to get home from work so that we could walk together to the polls.

At least I know I nurtured people who think voting is important.
