Is there any specific reason we are so keen on electing retarded people as presidents?

Did he actually try to conflate Spain as a " hostile country?"
Nobody's 100% sure whether he's got a beef with Spain or thought he was being asked about one of several Latin American dictators of an anti-American bent (currently). As I said earlier, I think he confused Venezuala with Spain and then just blurted out the standard hwak party line in an effort to back pedal. One thing's for sure, Obama's European approval rating probably went even higher today.

That's exactly what happened and now he's giving the appearance that Europe is the axis of evil because he's afraid to admit that he didn't know what the reporter was talking about.

All he needed to do was simply ask for clarification instead of assuming and jumping the gun and nobody would've stamped him with the gaffe but instead he pulled a Palin and just made shit up.

McCain Meant To Reject Spain Meeting, Adviser Says
Senator McCain refused to commit to a White House meeting with President Zapatero in this interview," the Senator's foreign policy adviser Randy Sheunemann told the Washington Post.

So McLames foreign policy adviser claims Zapatero is the President of Spain. Here I thought he was the Prime Minister!
