Does John McCain Know Where Spain Is?

Quote:
“Would you be willing to meet with the head of our government, Mr. Zapatero?” the questioner asked, in an exchange now being reported by several Spanish outlets.

McCain proceeded to launch into what appeared to be a boilerplate declaration about Mexico and Latin America — but not Spain — pressing the need to stand up to world leaders who want to harm America.

“I will meet with those leaders who are our friends and who want to work with us cooperatively,” according to one translation. The reporter repeated the question two more times, apparently trying to clarify, but McCain referred again to Latin America.
WOW!!

John McSame either:

A: Didn't appear to know that Spain was in Europe, or..

B: Didn't know that the leader of Spain was named Zapatero.

Several news outlets have translated what was asked of Senator McCain:

Quote:
"Senator, finally, let's talk about Spain. If you're elected president, would you invite President Zapatero to meet with you in the White House?"
Why the hell does he talk about Mexico and Latin America?

His advisors insist McCain meant what he said. We will see how this
impacts the Latino vote.

I inadvertantly created a thread about this topic. All apologies. I tend to side with the group of people who think McCain thought he was talking to a Spanish speaking reporter, not a reporter from Spain. I don't think that McLame's advisors told him to go cold on the socialist Spaish PM just because his party pulled the Spainish troops out of Iraq. Not that either case is comforting, it shows a candidate giving answers from rote memory rather than deliberate thought, and also somebody who actually might have short term memory loss. Somebody must have told him that the reporter was from Spain.

If McCain doesn't know how many houses he has, I highly doubt he knows where Spain is.

John, seriously...Seek help for your dementia.

I haven't had time to read all about it.

Did he actually try to conflate Spain as a " hostile country?"
