do you have any idea why there are no wind turbines in Florida? is there a law against it?
I don't think the turby would be too obstructive.

There is a real case of NIMBY when it comes to these. I know that senator Kennedy doesn't want them to obstruct his view at his Cape Cod home even though they would be 8 miles out http://www.boston.com/news/nation/wa..._on_cape_wind/

God forbid you get a glance of them through your telescope.

That was interesting about Kennedy....

Sounds like political junk...
I would argue that ocean power, tidal and Gulf Stream currents might be more effective power generation. The region appears to be sheltered so wind would be okay.

I could imagine a large sailboat getting hung up on one of those things....
