OK, now I have to google. I could be wrong.

and I am!! HA! The Siberian is the largest. males avg. 500lbs, although so does the Bengal male. Females are a quite bit smaller,

the worst thing. Put all the subspecies of Tiger together, there aren't hardly 8,000-10,000 left in their evershrinking wild.

It is super strange there is not a VIDEO. - Isn't the zoo being sued by the brothers anyway??!

The selective pressure on Siberians for greater size is the cold, otherwise they'd be closer in size.

And that may be an overestimate. With all the ecological damage the communist government and colaborating industries did I'm thinking China has no tigers left at all.

And that suit will likely disappear as a condition to the zoo not pressing charges.

I can tell you the only reason they are making that moat height higher is not for public safety, but for insurance and AZA reasons.

That is because the insurance companies do not want to pay for another "situation". They would probably increase the premiums so high that the Zoo could not afford them ... so of course they will....

The zoo is liable because they did not protect the tiger from these taunters and vice versa....

Yes. I've seen the public taunt these animals. Like I said, these animals of all species have nothing more to do than look for ways to get out if they have to. For anyone to think these animals don't pre-meditate an escape route is very naive.
