J st, by Sac State.

You're in Elk Grove, huh?

As far as hoarding, it's a California thing. It's even worse in LA. The truth is, we really don't get storms out here. People on the East coast have to be laughing their asses off when watching these breaking news stories of....RAIN, on the west coast. Oh, it got nasty. In fact, the wind broke Sacramento records. I heard that shit while in bed. It was scary. My windows sounded like they were going to break. But it wasn't Armageddon. It's winter weather, just a bit nastier. But we can't blame global warming, because rich white business owners insist it doesn't exist. And they don't lie.

Thank you. No real damage except the fence. The redwood in the front even looks better thinned out! LOL!

But I have to wait for the water to drain as the back yard is slightly flooded and muddy and the front street is not draining either.

What the hell happened to sunny California?
We live in North Bay in wine country and the first part of the storm gave us 2" of rain, then the second hit was 5" along with a day-long power outage, then we got another 2", and since late last night we have another 3/4", so plenty of rain. The family compound in Lake Tahoe got 9 feet of snow a couple of days ago and more on the way.

It was predicted during the second wave of the storm to have high winds but this did not materialize in our area--maybe 25-35mph tops--thank goodness!

Tomorrow will be a cleanup day for me. I had one tree blown over about 30 degrees. I was able to tie it back up staight. I hope I can save it. The roads are still a mess all around here. Many neighbors lost their fences. My sister just got her power back yesterday, and my dad's is still out. I guess I'm lucky.
