Not Sure Where To Put This, Dog Rescue Just Minutes Ago.
Dog rescued from cliffside in Point Defiance Park
04:40 PM PST on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 KING5.com staff TACOMA, Wash. – Rescuers responded to a report of a man and two dogs that slipped down a cliffside in Point Defiance Park Wednesday afternoon. Officials say the man was walking with his dogs on Five Mile Drive when one dog went over the edge and couldn't get back up. The man slid down trying to go after the dog. He and the first dog were spotted on safe ground about 50 feet above the beach, and a spokesperson from Tacoma Fire says he wasn't injured. But the second dog, which looked like a Golden Retriever, was stuck on a ledge. SkyKING video showed a rescuer lowering himself down the ledge with a rope, and helping guide the dog to safe ground. The group was reunited. I live just down the street for Point Fefience. I't on my street. I was wondering why I heard all the sirens, fire turcks, but no ambulances. Many fire and rescue vehicles.
