Winter tornadoes ?????
We are always dodging twisters around here. But I cant remember the last time we had so many in the middle of winter.
I know if you've seen one demolished building, you've seen them all. But I had to share these pics from Union University in Jackson Tn. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I have often heard after nature has done so much damage that it looks like a war zone. The truth is we are comparing it the opposite way. There are some war zones that look like a natural disaster. Nature is much more destructive.

Thanks for sharing, we do need to be reminded of reality.
We are squandering a period of the ideal environment with empire building. Rather than addressing issues competently we as a society, choose to ignore them if they do not directly affect us. Then shit happens and dumb asses that we are, we ask why it happened. Is this the result of global warming ? who knows, the reality is - does this country have the assets to get your region functioning again ? Kind of back to the effects of global warming, if we as a country had used the oil embargo of the 70's as incentive to get off oil dependency we probably would not be having the social or environmental problems we are having now. We chose to ignore that problem then and so now we have a multitude of problems to address now. I hope that your situation there is not ignored and is addressed competently.

I did an article search and found references to El Nino year winter tornadoes. You can read about a paragraph, but the archives cost to download.
Anyway... The articles I found, some dating 10 years ago April, talked about El Nino changing the gulf stream during the years El Nino affects us. The reason the eastern states are seeing winter tornadoes is, once again, because of El Nino changing the gulf stream. (Do a Google News search for "El Nino winter tornadoes" and click on from all dates.)

1985 the same thing happened...If people would stop pointing to everything in the weather and claiming it is a symptom of climate change maybe disbelievers wouldn't think the whole idea is fruity...you're not doing the cause any favors.

For a little while there I thought "Climate Change" was the cause of the high temps we've had over the past few weeks. Then I realized, as high as our temp's were, the records are still intact for the most part. What do we blame 1929's Feb third high of 69 degrees on?

Well on Feb 3rd they must have been psychic...since black tuesday didn't happen until Oct.29....But why they didn't protect their money instead of jumping out of windows months ahead of time is kind of strange. ![]() |
