I would like to add my thoughts.
These Wolves that are roaming free now, are not the Wolves of yore, the ones hunted to near extinction. The real WILD Wolves. Most of the Wolves here in question, were born and raised in captivity at the beginning of the experiment, to bring them back from the brink. I watched a program not long ago (forgot what channel) about a man, raising a pack, and then he created this huge sanctuary, in which he lived with them as a Wolf, studied them and their behavior, to see if they can be made to stay on their own territory, and not get in the way of humans. He ran into all kinds of problems. Powerstruggles within the pack, most of the original pack (a pair born and raised in captivity, who had the first litter in the sanctuary) were too comfortable with humans, by that I mean, they invoked more curiosity than fear in the Wolves. He lived with them for quite some time (a few years) and then his lease ran out on the sanctuary, and a Native American Tribe agreed to take the Wolves and let them roam free on their land. Was an interesting Show! My point is, these (new) Wolves are VERY vulnerable, and should NOT have been taken off the endangered list!
