I thought you were asking for help/advice about your lawn that's why I suggested it.

I gotta little Hank Hill in me, but I don't enjoy it as much as he does.

I do use True Green Chem lawn. (ducks the objects throw at me by "naturalists). I crunched the numbers and they're only slightly more expensive then buying the chemicals and what not myself.

Plus I've got no green thumb, and often missed treatments when I did it myself.

So they keep it green and I keep it short.

It's not something I love to do, but once I do it, I feel better about my property. Sounds stupid, and I never thought I'd be such a concerned suburbanite over such things, but I am.

Sucks though. 4 nights this week I was out there after work because of all the rain we've had. I had to make sure I got in the mowing before more rain came this weekend (you shouldn't mow wet grass). It's already a tad too long again. I weed-whacked, and raked 2 of the nights too. But that spring clean up stuff, it gets easier as the summer moves along.

Other than the occasional neighbors dog it is there for the ppl across the street to look @ or passersby & not much else......... In order to keep it green I must water it @ min 3 times a week for about 10 mins.... DUring the summer that will have to double....

Additionally it needs to get fertilizers to keep it green.....

I would rather have a garden there but as has happened a few years ago you can be fined up to two hundred buck a month for failing to have a lawn.......

You live in a community where you have no say in your landscaping?

I've seen shows about those places...

How about letting it die, and then spray it with green food coloring?

Food grade, of course.

Indoor, outdoor carpet? Like a stadium....

There are people in my nieghborhood that have removed their lawns completely. One house has a rose garden and another has gravel.

We have a front yard to be proud of......the back yard is another story.

What law makes us keep a front lawn? That's just insane! Tell that to my next door neighbor and he'll rip his lawn out just to protest!

Many cities have ordinances that require you to keep a nice lawn...can't be over so tall or whatever....if it does then they'll come out and cut it for you and charge you a few hundred dollars.

Uhm.....sure....but I'm not saying there isn't....I'm just curious what the law is and if it's new. I wanna see my neighbor pull out his lawn.
