Damn home owners associations and covenants telling people how to live.

I left Reston Virginia because they complained that I did not mow my grass for a month, that the color of my panels was the wrong shade and that I had tan curtains rather than white. Add that there was a 10% increase in dues every half year.

Of course this HOA did nothing for the rapes or muggings in the community, neither did they help those who found themselves unemployed and had to execute creative measures to make ends meet - such as repairing cars.

Meddling busybodies, hope they lost their buts with the sub prime markets and hope that they run into another busybody that gets upset because they missed something as a result of the economy.

close, I'm literally on the other side of the chain link fence. All my neighbors on the school property put up privacy barriers like shrubs, trees and fences. I preferred the view.

Since I'm not commuting anymore, I don't have to worry about the negative aspects of the location. But the positive ones are being less than an hour from the ocean or the mountains in the other directions. And then keep going for another 45 minutes to be in the desert.
