I hate my front lawn: Only thing I do on it is mow & water...

It is not an option....

Only time I am on it is when I am mowing.... Even when the kids were younger they never played on it......

Other than the occasional neighbors dog it is there for the ppl across the street to look @ or passersby & not much else......... In order to keep it green I must water it @ min 3 times a week for about 10 mins.... DUring the summer that will have to double....

Additionally it needs to get fertilizers to keep it green.....

I would rather have a garden there but as has happened a few years ago you can be fined up to two hundred buck a month for failing to have a lawn.......

gotta love the yard police....not only do you have to spend money to keep a nice lawn...but you have to spend money so that people can make sure you have a nice lawn.

honestly, I feel the same way. I'm either at work or I'm inside the house at night.

About 15 years ago there was a huge drought. I did nothing to maintain the lawn while at least one of my neighbors continued to clean his sidewalks with a hose EVERY DAY!!

The bright side is that after my lawn turned completely to dirt, I had a clean slate. I must have gotten lucky because I bought seed and then I got something to grow. Now, I only water the front lawn about once every 2 weeks for about 10 minutes at a time. It is literally worry free and extremely drought resistant. It's not the finest lawn around but I couldn't care less. It's green and cheep.

There are the kinds of people who want to sit in their front lawns and watch the cars drive by, or to be nosey about what's going on with the neighbors. I'm not one of those kind of people. I'ld rather be in the backyard. And that being said, the backyard is never boring because I'm adjacent to an elementary school soccer field. 4-5 afternoons a week there is either AYSO or softball practice and on Sundays is a Mexican soccer league that's very fun to watch while I'm drinking a beer. And I have a great view of the mountains when there isn't any haze or smog, especially in the winter when they're covered with snow.

Lollipop only wants to see a pic so she can criticize it as a newly minted professional photographer. Beware!

Placing Bush on his front lawn would decrease the value of his home and be an eyesore he would probably be fined for. A gnome or lawn jockey would be more appropriate.

You know, I was waiting for someone to make a "bush" joke - I just wasn't sure which bush it would be about
