If I understand this correctly the Carbon Dioxide in our atmosphere is the highest it has been in 650,000 years, our history goes back only 10,000 or so. We are in uncharted territory as far as climate is concerned. So to satisfy our consumption as a result of poor policies our leaders solution is to expose more contained carbon to the atmosphere. The effect this might have is to accelerate a catastrophy, of course the Religious nutcases will instantly claim "Act of God".

This is like watching an idiot play with a bomb. Will someone stop these jerks, they made the new rules, just declare them terrorists and ship them all to Cuba, better yet air drop them in Mecca and have them fight the other terrorists over there. After all it was their idea to start that mess and this would really give the Middle East a chance to address their problems. This will not happen so we get to see what cool "Act of God" events will occur.

Dude. Calm down.

Don't you know it could all be over tomorrow? Ever heard of an extinction level event? Some big rock could slam into the earth, or Yellowstone could blow....then it's curtains for most or all of us. Relax. It's out of our hands anyway.

Totally calm, of course, just musings and irony......

Here is this "leader" with all their informed sources bringing up the carbon issues and their solution is to dredge up more carbon. Add the economy, our spreading democracy and that everyone was mentioning accessing this as an "energy" solution I figured I would add the other dimension of this initiative.

All this carbon in the atmosphere is thought to cause global warming, right? Well, Mars has global warming too. Maybe it's just good ole Mr. Sunshine having some sort of fit...as I said, I think it's out of our hands.
