What will happen when Tundra Swamp Gas Ignites ?
Watched National Geographic last night, they were burning ice, this was pretty cool, they learned that Swamp Gas and farts ignite. There is a concern about Methane as a green house gas, but I was wondering what would happen if one of these pockets ignited, energy released by the combustion released more gases, sustaining a cascading ignition.
Earth farts, news at 9..... Arctic burning, news at 11, by the way Florida is gone.... Just what is the by product of burning Methane ? Global Warming: Methane Could Be Far Worse Than Carbon Dioxide Methane Burps: Ticking Time Bomb

Well there you go....forget about cow farts........the entire planet is farting. That would be some big bang wouldn't it? Is it even possible? You'd think something of that nature would have already happened in our history and we would know about....wouldn't we?

Here I mention the oil and CO2 levels higher than they have been in 650,000 years, when was the last time the tundra was thawed/thawing out ? Who witnessed those events ?

They mention the greenhouse component. Given the volume trapped in this system I am curious as to whether a scenario of an accelerated release of Methane due to combustion. Heat melts ice containing Methane fueling the process.... Just one lightning strike in a warming borderline environment.....

For some reason I thought it was heavier, think it was that story about the lake and the people being poisoned by the "burp". ![]()

![]() Kidding.I only figured this sounded too real not to be true and to big not to be known about. Funny how things like this are known by so few. Reminds me of how people still think Julius Caesar was murdered in the Roman Forum because of Hollywood....when he was killed miles away.....in a theatre. Hmmmmmm, Lincoln is Caesar and Brutus is John Wilkes Booth.....but I digress....... |
