Most are not much concerned about it.... @ the BM board a while back I had confronted the board on it & most were either ambivalent, jaded, cynical & mostly uninformed........

There are certain topics that are just not compelling enough to interest ppl to argue about or be concerned about... Worst war since ww2 (including body counts-women children, rape,murder etc) going on in the COngo & nary a peep in our media about it.....

Example that: mugabe of Zimbabwe is this months tyrant of the month. He has been @ it for a long, long time & is just now showing up on the radar.......... Darfur.......... Rwanda.. Mozambique.....

Where's the oil.............???

Burma.. Taiwan. TIbet................ Even the "dear leader". Same thing no one is really interested enough to talk much about it.........

One thing that I have been aware of in the past few years is about how some people here take their daughters back to their home countries for them to have a clitoris ablanation. Yeah, I know, absolutely nothing to do with this thread, but just a thought. Disgusting. Fortunately, some of those girls have been lucky enough thanks to a few judges. But sometimes primitive cultures go too way off the line.

Well there was some fuss about that back then..........

It has been going on "over there" for a long, long time & the "outrage" was blasted away for a week or so.... Mostly the same self proclaimed "feminist"....... IF they were castrating men along w/ them it would be fine & we should not be interfering in their cultural practices..........

The same moral relevancy's came up when I posted about the selected abortions being done of "girls" in India.. They were not against abortions unless it was selective...... Aborting girls.

THat is somehow aberrant but non-selective abortion isn't... go figure........

Starting a thread is not a fuss................

If it is a topic you are interested please start a thread on it. It will make more sense than just blurting it out in other threads. It detracts from the topic & perhaps does not do justice to it or your point......
