What I was pointing out was that you didn't even have to read the first line to find an error. The NSA could tell me it is dark at night and I would still want to verify it. When you get in as deep into national security etc. as the NSA is, the truth doesn't matter a whole lot. There is an entirely new brand of logic that takes over. If you read the first hand accounts of such things like the U.S. flag that was flying, pictures taken just before the attack, low level flyovers by Israeli planes etc there is really no conclusion any rational thinking person can come to other than it was a deliberate attack. I will leave you with this; after the Israelis realized that the Liberty was not going to sink and they ceased fire.

"After more than two hours of unremitting assault, the Israelis finally halted their attack. One of the torpedo boats approached the Liberty. An officer asked in English over a bullhorn: "Do you need any help?"

The wounded commander of the Liberty, Lt. William McGonagle, instructed the quartermaster to respond emphatically: "Fuck you."

The Israeli boat turned and left.

I would be willing to bet that Lt. William McGonagle's response expressed pretty succinctly whether he thought the attack was a case of mistaken identity or not.

I haven't looked at this thread for awhile...do you have a link to the some of the testimony of the men on board?, ( I would prefer your links to the poster of this threads links)

USS Liberty: Eyewitness Account

USS LIBERTY Gives some audio accounts as well. One from an Admiral.

All I did was Google USS Liberty personal accounts, some of the sites that come up on both sides of the issue have some falsehoods but I guess that is to be expected.
