As one of those "broken down fucks", nice terminology, and it sure as heck describes me to a "T", I can't do diddly squat anymore. My memory is gone, not to mention my vocabulary and communication skills. Have trouble walking and standing....yeah, one look at me and someone will shout "next!" Lord, I pray that my husband keeps his job and our insurance, such that it is.

I know the feeling..I wish I could go back to work..I get a kick out of people who think we're getting a free ride..You get a check you cant live on, and everything is expensive as all hell, and getting more expensive as time goes on..I paid $3.27 per gal for fuel oil last delivery..and when you finally get beat up enough and swallow your pride and apply for assistance, they tell you that you make too much money..I got a $22 raise in my check this year..Whoopie!..I get to splurge on Chow Mein once a month

Actually the opposite. The Federal Government or certain agencies within either the Federal Government or State levels do not recognise rare diseases. The reason is they would have to fund research for it. All the research and studies I've been a subject in had nothing to directly do with the actual disease, but they did do a growth hormone study and I eneded up with a hysterectomy with that experimental drug. If we have Socialized Medical no will will have to take advantage of something that is there for everyone and injury or illness.

I think we broken one's need to be heard and speak loudly and clearly and don't give up! They work for us and it's time they do the job the tax payers paid for and stop wasting money with requirements like "they have to spend it to get more in the next budget". Be responsible with the taxpayers money and give people what they really want. To feel safe, secure in their jobs, stop labeling people depressed, and use money to help creeat jobs in the community by not overspending on bullshit and making budgets realisitic. And our "PublicServants" have to stop cutting the number of days they are in session and giving themselves raises everytime they go back into session. That is first on their agenda. We need to hold our workers accountable period!

I was born and raised in Europe, with socialized medicine, that system works just fine.

Here, we pay $600+ a month for health insurance. And when had to have my eyes fixed, I wound up having to pay for mostly everything myself.

I liken the Health "Insurance" in America to a Mafia Protection Racket. They take your Money, and keep it. And when you get sick, well then, that's YOUR problem.

My husband is starting to say things like that, *sigh*. I don't want to live in the "great white north" (no offense, canadians!) it's too cold up there!

The American People need to wake the hell up, and take their country back. Quit electing these faux "Leaders", and then not pay attention to what they get up to.

Stop waiting for a "Savior", some magic person, who can do and say all the right things, wave a magic wand, and make everything "All Better". Not gonna happen.

The American People need to rise up as one, and say: "Enough!"
