Fallon's resignation is frightening.

"The current issue of Esquire Magazine portrays Fallon as the one person in the military or Pentagon standing between the White House and war with Iran. The article credits Fallon with "brazenly challenging his commander in chief" over a possible war with Iran, which Fallon called an "ill-advised action," and implies Fallon would resign rather than go to war against Iran."

It looks like Fallon is doing what boot lickers like Colin Powell should have done before the Iraq mess. I'm sure they're issuing Gen. Patreus thicker kneepads in anticipation of the next war.

I hope Gen. Fallon takes his protest into the public instead of just fading into obscurity.

I admire Fallon greatly. Yes, too bad Powell could not muster that sort of courage and honesty.

Frightening? No I don't see his resignation as frightening. Disappointing.
