This is something I cannot understand. Just because you are a Democrat doesn't prevent you from voting for anyone you please. You may vote for any candidate you wish without reregistering. And come next state primary, you can choose to vote or not.

Wait-stop right there. The most important thing that liberals need to accomplish is to take back the Supreme Court. Period. If you do not vote for a candidate that supports your basic right to think for yourself, then you are essentially allowing others to vote to allow government intrusion into your daily lives. These are the plain life and death facts we are facing right now. One more conservative judge on the Supreme Court will bring about a situation that will take decades to correct.

You don't have to forgive and forget, or even fall in line. You have to accept the fact that politics is a filthy dirty business and that is why you personally are not running for office. At the end of the day, there is only one winner for each party. And in November, there is only one winner. It is up to you to decide if you wish to vote for the greater good of your party and the people that have generally the same opinions, or you can just let the other guys win by sitting this one out.

I am a Nader person, and I've been hearing the word "spoiler" coming from cry babies for years. Instead, said cry babies should look in the mirror and say, "What could we have done to get 700 more democrats to get out and vote?"

Do you want to be one of those 700 democrats that didn't show up? And if you choose to be one, will you man up and admit that it's your fault that McCain is in the White House?

First of all you took the entire post wrong. I never said I was opposed to Obama because of his supporters. I am opposed to Obama because I don't trust him. He has said one thing and done another and that bothers me. Also I did not say I refuse to vote for Obama I asked for a compelling reason to do so.

People still talk about nasty words being exchanged between the candidates, it's mostly news people that keep pushing this, but honestly the only one I've seen launching nasty words is the Clinton team, especially her team members, just before they resign from her campaign. Then you are wearing blinders because a few people resigned from Obama's camp as well for ugly statements.

I can see this has pretty much gone nowhere except for a handful of good responses there seems to be even more animosity from people.

Better to keep expectations low or have none whatsoever. There is no real way something can live up to unrealistic expectations.

It would be great if the Constitution were a rigidly written document with very little room for interpretation. But sorry. It doesn't work that way.Look at the persistant battle over the meaning of the Second amendment if you need proof. Or the current battle over the Fourth Amendment. I'll be damned if I'm going to sit back and allow another republican to pack the Supremes with more Anti-citizen, pro-corporate judges. <--THAT would be strange and not necessarily American.
