why are republican war crimes worse?

this is something that has puzzled me for a long time. why do people say that attacking Iraq was wrong, yet is was perfectly ok to bomb the crap out of Serbia? Was Milosevic worse than Hussein?

Non-Republican war crimes are born of mean-spiritedness, misguided passion, recklessness and stupidity.

Republican war crimes are born of avarice...they are designed to turn a profit.

i beg to differ

“If we are going to have a strong economic relationship that includes our ability to sell around the world, Europe has got to be the key; that's what this Kosovo thing is all about ... its globalism versus tribalism.” Bill Clinton

Fair enough. Since I do not much distinguish between Democrats and Republicans ONLY BECAUSE THEY'RE BOTH UP TO THEIR EYEBALLS IN BULLSHIT, let me word it differently.

There are war crimes that are born of mean-spiritedness, misguided passion, recklessness and stupidity.

And there are war crimes that are born of avarice, designed to turn a profit.

As a nation, America's war crimes fall right smack in the latter category although, never to be left out of anything or accused of intolerance, we also have representation by flat-out psychopath bullies.

you made the point i was getting to. both parties have committed horrific war crimes, which they cover up by saying they were doing the humanitarian thing. i dont see how Clinton could say he was helping the people, when the US was bombing, water supplies, and oil refineries

You are depressing, chrisbb. People have to have a party to believe in. Don't take away the illusion of democracy.

It is an unfair comparison. Was Grenada the same as WWII? Republican wars become major catastrophes. Democrat wars end quickly and the damage is comparable to the benefit.

But yes, it is possible none of the wars should have been waged.

Totally different situation. Totally different motives. Clinton wasn't talking about making a few corporations extremely rich like Iraq has done.

There are many of us who, as it was happening, heavily criticized the bombing of Serbia.

But your point is very good.

The Military Industrial Complex transcends the 2 party system.

That's completely different. The people Bill Clinton blew up were slavs. There are no slavs in Iraq. Plus, Bill Clinton puts a (D) after his name, which means anything he says or does is automatically right.
