If the posts here are any indication of what the Democrats face for opposition once the general election starts....I'll need to stock up on popcorn, because this is going to be fun to watch.

I have worked closely with Muslims Christians and Jews my entire life, I can assure you we have much more in common than any difference that would even matter. They work, they love their families.
They are all friends.

I think I told this story before....but during 9/11 I was standing in a room working with a Russian Jew whose parents had escaped the Holocaust, a Pakistani and a very devout Christian... myself and my boss. There were tears in everyones eyes when the buildings fell.

I keep asking the question over and over because I feel there has to be more of a reason than I have been given for voting for Obama. So far it has been a clip where two very young college students have said the reasons that they support Obama is because he talked about Iraq and things that affected them in college. One other said he supported Obama because it frustrated me.

Why would anyone vote for Obama?

So your reason for voting for Obama is that you don't like Our President Bush, John McCain, Rush Limbaugh, or Bill O'Reilly. You are voting for Obama not because you believe in him just because you don't like some other people of which only one of them is running against Obama. If you liked McCain would you still vote for Obama even though you still hated the other 3?

So we should vote for Obama because Kevin James doesn't know history?

Why would anyone vote for Obama?

I'm feeling charitable this morning.

Obama has inspired me. This November will be the third time I've had the honor of voting for him. His actions follow his words, and I believe him, I believe he means what he says, which is reason enough. There isn't another politician out there, with perhaps the exception of John Edwards or Al Gore, that I have as much faith in as Obama. He will continue to take the high road, not stooping to the old political crap. He is not indebted to large corporations or lobbyists because of funding, I know because I am one of the almost two million regular people that funded his campaign. Had I been a lobbyist or if I had taken money from a lobbyist, he would have sent the money back. He will also have enough democrats in Congress to work with so he'll be able to bring the country together again and get it pointed in the right direction. It's going to take a lot to correct the mess that Georgie left, and I feel, (just like MILLIONS of other good Americans), that Obama is exactly the right guy at the right time to do that.

Now if you are asking about which of his policies and plans I support, then just go to his website and read them there. He explains them much better than I ever could.

Did you hear that, or are you going to repeat your question again and pretend that no one answered.

On the other hand, if you have valid arguments as to why my reasons are invalid, let's hear them. But let me warn you and any other right wing loud mouth, if you try to spin my words or reasons, if you try to put words in my mouth or draw false conclusions or fake outrage, you shall be ignored.

I appreciate your answers even though we have different wants. He does give a good speech which does inspire many and I can understand how that does influence some people. Where you want his words and wants to become policy I do not. Obama and I differ on nearly every point. What major points in policy "wants" are you most desiring of? I hope this does not anger you but I hope he is lying like nearly every politician in my lifetime.

Thanks again for giving me your answer to why you would vote for Obama.

I like the idea that the world might see Americans in a new light if he were elected.

I like the fact that he saw throught the rhetoric leading up to the Iraq war, and saw it for what it was,...a completely disastrous blunder. (I bought their bullshit, and he didnt) I like that.

"Yes, I tried marijuana....and I inhaled." - Senator Obama.
I like the fact that he is willing to be brutally honest, despite the consequenses.

..and I like that he will talk with our enemies. Better to empathise with the enemy, than turn your back to him.
